Anyone had strabismus surgery and be one-and-done?

Hey everyone, question is title

I have an amblyopic right eye and it drifts towards my ear. I’m 25 and the injury occurred when I was 1.5-2 years old so have had it pretty much my whole life

I’m considering getting some alignment surgery, and am aware that is going to be purely cosmetic. At this stage in my life I’m fine with that.

Though I am slightly hesitant as I know it’s an eye-brain issue at the end of the day, and the chance of needing recurrent surgeries is always present.

So I ask, have any of you gotten the surgery just once, and had the straight alignment stick around? How many surgeries have you had?? Did you end up getting Botox or did you give up?

Thanks in advance

hi all,

been mixing for 2 years now, so have a long way to go, but just wanted to vent some frustrations I've been having recently.

I am mostly a bedroom DJ but have some experience playing house parties and the occasional club gig (usually for opening). I would consider myself a house DJ more than anything but have also dabbled in UKG/techno along the way.

as of late though, I've found mixing house music to be a lot more difficult than it used to be. I typically start a set at 125ish bpm and will work my way up to finish at about 132-135bpm. And ill be honest, as of late my transitions sound choppy, my EQ'ing feels off, and I just can't seem to put a set together that "flows" from start to finish. What used to be my bread and butter now feels a lot more forced.

on the flip side, every couple of nights or so I will start off at 140, and I am able to get into the groove much quicker. I use an RX2, so can only play two songs at once, but with techno I've been able to maintain tension and flow much easier recently. I usually play for about 60-90mins.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE techno, but there's something about spinning house that is just awesome. I can't seem to find my sound for house anymore, which is strange because It's the genre of music I actually listen to the most.

Maybe I just need new songs lol.

Has anyone had a similar experience? I need inspiration. TIA!
