SS20 Lumber Crash came in today after years of searching. Super hyped on this one.

Had the pleasure of attending a workshop with Devon in Tokyo last April. He is such a friendly, knowledgeable guy and it was really cool to spend some time with him and absorb some of his expertise.
The group got to spend a few days wandering around Akihabara picking up parts and it was a fantastic way to dip my toes into the whole DIY world. We attached all the parts to the chassis as a group and did all the internal soldering back home after the workshop.
Was happy to nail the internals first try and this little amp really sings. Coming off a Primaluna EVO400, I really understand the appeal of low wattage amps paired with efficient horn speakers. Even at low volumes, this little unit is beautifully detailed, rich, and makes me feel like I am sitting in-front of Bill Evans. Looking forward to moving at the end of the month and having a dedicated listening space to pull the Heresys away from the wall and give them some room to breath. Hard to do that in a 1bedroom condo.
It was such a fun experience and listening to something you assembled yourself feels very rewarding and I figured I would share my experience hoping to inspire anyone feeling trepidation towards building something yourself. As someone with zero audio engineering or soldering experience, if I can do it, you can definitely do it. Peace!
