The AI tools keep changing. Fast. What about Story?

A year ago, the workflow looked completely different. New models, new generators, better video, better consistency, better everything. What takes hours today may take minutes tomorrow.
But one thing hasn’t changed:
You still need a good story.
AI can give you the camera, the actors, the locations, the visual effects and eventually damn near an entire production studio.
But it can’t magically make a bad story good.
I’ve been experimenting with AI filmmaking, and that’s probably the biggest thing I’ve learned. The technology is changing almost weekly, but storytelling fundamentals haven’t changed in decades.
The tools are getting better.
Now we just have to get better at using them.

THE CURTAIN HAS BEEN LIFTED

And Oz ( Hollywood Revealed ).

Hollywood filmmaking is about to change in ways we’re only beginning to understand.

The floodgates are about to burst open.

Soon, anyone with a phone in their pocket may effectively have a Hollywood studio in their hands. The ability to create feature films—with massive-looking sets, locations, action sequences, creatures, visual effects and “big budget” shots—will no longer be limited to people with Hollywood budgets.

Of course, there will be a LOT of bad movies. 😂

Because technology can create the images, but it can’t automatically give you a great story, script, characters or vision.

But that’s not the point.

We can now see behind the curtain and the almighty Oz ( Hollywood ) is being revealed.

The tools that were once locked behind enormous budgets and studio gates are becoming accessible to everyone.

The question is no longer, “Can you afford to make a movie?”

It may soon be:

“Do you have a story worth telling?”

DA BEAST 🎬 AI Creature Feature Film 🤙🏽 1st 5 Minutes 🤩

I'm sharing the first five minutes of DA BEAST, my upcoming creature AI FEATURE FILM.

Over the past several months, I've been exploring a simple question:
Can AI become a legitimate filmmaking tool—not just for creating impressive visuals, but for telling compelling stories?

Rather than produce another AI showcase, I set out to create the opening of a feature film with cinematic storytelling, dialogue, performances, editing, sound design, visual effects, and an original score—all working together in service of the story.

DA BEAST blends WWII mystery, Hawaiian folklore, and big-wave surfing into a new kind of creature feature.
This isn't the finished film—it's a proof of concept created to demonstrate what's now possible for independent filmmakers and to spark conversations about where storytelling is headed.
