I’m listening to the audio book of Fire and Blood and can’t help hearing this guy!

I’m listening to the audio book of Fire and Blood and can’t help hearing this guy!

I was not a big fan of Roy Dotrice’s narration but let’s be honest, how else do you narrate a saga with hundreds of people well?

Simon Vance did a great job in fire and blood, but I sometimes can’t take him seriously because of this! I’m not sure how well known Matt Berry is internationally, but he is extravagant and ridiculously over-the-top in his comedy performances, and genuinely hilarious.

Not a complaint, it’s just hard to navigate some of the serious moments in the book when the two sound so similar; all I can think of is this dude!

Does anyone use push standalone without a rigid tempo? If so, how do you find it? Got any tips?

I’m not after info on how to use follow tempo, and I know how scenes can have their own bpm triggered on launch etc. I’m talking a general disregard of tempo, switching off launch quantise and just going bpm blind. I find a rigid tempo can sound pretty sterile and repetitive. I’ve had a play around, but I can’t see it as anything but stressful for playing live, even for ambient tunes without beats

Would be great to hear from anyone who has experimented, and any suggestions you might have

Thanks

So the neighbours have put up 3 sets of wind chimes…

I live in a breezy part of the UK. The sound never stops night or day. I asked them politely if they could take them down and they just ‘but they’re nice’.

They are also almost deaf…it’s driving me crazy!

I absolutely love my helium 400 but the stuff sack is almost useless. Doesn’t matter what I do, it’s huge and doesn’t do it any justice. Has anyone found anything more decent?

Thanks
