a little Mac app for streaming 6 Music
Hey!
I built a mac menu bar app for BBC Radio 6 Music, with last.fm scrobbling.
Why? Yeah great question:
- no need to keep a browser tab open
- will stop/resume the stream when you use the play/pause button on your keyboard
- because of the way BBC radio works, other radio apps don't show Now Playing metadata for BBC stations
It's free, but it's not on the Apple app store - you have to get it from Github (there's a pre-built binary or you can compile from source).
Since this is just a personal project I've not signed the app, which means macos will quarantine it on first launch. You'll need to right-click → open → open on the first launch to allow it.
