rod wave.. more like rod late
I went to the phoenix concert on 10/4 and it was ridiculous how late he came out. i've been to his past 2 concerts which were at a hockey arena vs a basketball arena this time around and I was sick to my damn stomach this time.
Concert was suppose to start at 8. 8:30 for some grace. I showed up around 9 on purpose bc I didn't care for the opener assuming i'd hear the last of the opener and then boom rod. boy was I sadly mistaking
8:30 no opener
9:00 no opener
9:30 no opener
10:00 FUCKING FINALLY the opener comes on
10:30 no rod
10:45 no rod
10:50 NOW HE COMES OUT.
I deadass left the venue, went across the street, got a snack and water, ate and drank it outside, came back and still no opener.
the audacity of his first line pissed me clean off "Oh did I make yall wait?" yes fuckass u did. and don't get me wrong, I was def sat and ready. but still lmao
it's a sunday concert. mfs got work in the morning or wanted to have a drink after, assuming the concert would be over by 11/1130.
he definitely ran through his songs. the interludes were gone with the wind. im sure he was so winded trying to rush through he started lip syncing at some point. "fraud wave" is what I was thinking. There's a curfew on venues and he was clearly over so he had to exit on his last song. I have loved this man down and gone to every concert out here, but that was annoying. Only plus was his hoodies were $60 which is clutch bc I was expecting $100+
