So my planet fitness closes at 7 on weekends… and like, people have jobs and other responsibilities, so sometimes you can’t get there til late. It takes five seconds to turn off the fans, and the staff at mine regularly turn off the fans between 6:20 and 6:25, which makes the last half hour so unpleasant. I ALWAYS walk out the door after wiping down the machine etc at least five minutes before closing, but this seems really shitty. Like there’s no reason to turn off the fans that early except to make people’s workouts unpleasant so that they will leave early.
I’ve emailed my club twice about this and have gotten no response. Everyone knows they close at 7, and they go around at 10-15 minutes til closing to remind everyone of how long is left, so is there any justification at all besides that they are trying to get people to cut their workouts short so they can leave early? A few weeks ago a girl left them on til a few minutes before closing and it was so nice. Also, it’s summer. It’s like they’re begging for people to have strokes or something.
