TIDAL restored many artists' profile pictures

Around midday yesterday, following the post I had published the previous night, TIDAL finally restored the profile images for many artists.

The fix gradually rolled out, although a number of artists still missed out because the process halted.

I want to thank TIDAL for listening to my report and resolving the issue, and I hope the fix continues to roll out to the artists who haven't received it yet.

And for those who said my report was irrelevant, now you can see just how irrelevant it was...

Should TIDAL keep allowing third-party databases edit artists profiles?

Hey, TIDAL

I just wanted to know if you're gonna solve this problem...

Has anyone noticed that in past months, too many images of many artists on TIDAL have suddenly started changing to low-quality, outdated ones and even their names or displaying profile images of an artist to whom they do not belong?

I know this might not be an important problem for many people, but for me, it is.

TIDAL shouldn't prioritize images from third-party databases, (Xperi, who provides biographies to TIDAL and now pictures and names) over the ones established by the artists themselves or labels for their artist profile.

It's really frustrating when an artist finally updates their profile picture after so long, only for Xperi to decide just a few days later to update that artist's image in their database with a low-quality, poorly cropped, and hideous picture, overriding the image the artist or label had set on TIDAL.

This really ruins the experience and the consistency of our artists' profiles...

I think we are already paying too much to have third parties editing our artists' profiles, and even the way their names are displayed and it's also because why sometimes artist profiles wrongly separate.

This really doesn't quite live up to their new slogan, "for the music."

This needs to stop, and needs to be fixed soon.
