I don't know what's going on with my skin!!!!
Dermatitis/eczema desperation
Hi everyone,
I’m dealing with a confusing facial issue that started about a month ago, and I’d love to hear from anyone who has experienced something similar. I already have a doctor’s appointment today.
I have oily skin but never had acne problems or other issues! I've been using the same routines for years so my face was under control.
Out of nowhere, I began having daily facial itching. Some days it’s mild, some days it’s intense. The redness also fluctuates — some mornings I wake up almost normal, other days I look inflamed. It changes every single day and if I scratch the itchiness everything goes red and hot.
The strange part is that nothing I use seems to fix it. Even soothing products sometimes make my skin flare. For example, after applying Avène Cicalfate today, my face turned deep red and hot within minutes. It calmed down after about an hour, but the itching never fully goes away.
I’ve been using Avène Thermal Water to cool things down, but the underlying issue keeps coming back.
Has anyone dealt with a long, fluctuating flare like this? Could it be irritant dermatitis, hyperreactive skin, or something like Demodex imbalance?
I’m not trying to self‑diagnose — just trying to understand what could cause a month of daily itching and inconsistent redness.
I get married in 1.5monthd and I'm desperate tbh because if this is caused by stress, seeing my skin like that doesn't make me stress les!!!!
