Stolen phone tracked to location/ address just outside of a house
Hi my boyfriend recently got his phone stolen at edc off a phone tether and were able to track the location of the phone to a house in vegas. We tried speaking to a non emergency line and were advised to file a police report however the system is down so we can’t file a police report in person at a sub station and when we tried online we weren’t able to file a police report for theft and pickpocket so we’re at standstill on what to do. We’re canadian so we are a bit desperate as we have to fly back soon.
I read on a post on stolen phones from edc 2 years back it’s a bit of a long shot but apparently phone thieves steal phones and stash them in random locations and then pick the stashes up when they leave the country. The phone is showing up outside of a house property and we were wondering if we should just go and dig around some bushes and maybe see if they might’ve hidden a bag of stolen phones there.
if anyone has any advice on what to do please help this is my boyfriends first edc and there are lots of precious memories of us dancing and singing together it would hurt a lot to lose those memories. Hoping Plur is still real and we can get the phone back :(
