Chilling experience on rd towards aare ware😥

I’m not sure what to expect from posting this here, but I genuinely wanted to share something that happened to me recently in Ratnagiri during my friend’s wedding.

I’ve driven solo to Ratnagiri before, and honestly, it has always felt peaceful and calming. But this trip was… different. It was probably the first time in my life I experienced something that I still can’t logically explain. I’ve never really believed in supernatural things, but what happened there genuinely shook me.

So here’s the story.

We had reached my friend’s home near Aare Ware Road late in the evening. My friends took the luggage inside while I stayed back in the car near a small lane entrance, waiting to park it properly. The place had huge trees around, an old well nearby, and absolutely nobody around. It was unusually quiet.

One of my friend’s brothers was standing outside helping me guide the car into parking.

And then suddenly…

Three knocks.

Not random sounds. Not branches. Proper human-like knocks on the rear window of the car.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

The kind that instantly makes your heart sink.

I froze for a second and immediately looked into the rear-view mirror expecting someone to be standing there.

There was nobody.

Not a single person.

Even my friend’s brother heard it clearly. He got shocked too, immediately stepped out, looked around the car, checked the lane… nothing. No one nearby. No movement. Just silence.

That moment genuinely gave both of us goosebumps.

Later that night, when I told my friends about it, they laughed it off at first and didn’t really believe us. But one of them casually mentioned stories locals talk about something Kantara-like, spirits or energies believed to protect certain regions and forests around Konkan.

I still tried convincing myself there had to be some explanation.

Now comes the strange part.

The next day after the Haldi function, the three of us went back late at night to our hotel Seafans. Since my friends were still making fun of the incident, I even stopped at the same spot near the house again, secretly hoping the sound would happen once more so they’d finally believe me.

Nothing happened.

We laughed about it and left.

But when we reached Seafans around 1 AM, parked the vehicle, and stepped out…

We heard the exact same three knocks again.

This time, it didn’t come from our car. It came from the plot beside the parking area.

And this time, all three of us heard it.

Nobody laughed after that.

The sound was so clear and so similar to the previous night that all of us just stood there silent for a few seconds. That cold feeling, goosebumps, that sudden fear it all came rushing back instantly.

Honestly, after that night, I barely slept. Every small sound around the room felt unsettling. There were a few other things we heard later that night too, but even now I don’t really feel comfortable talking about them.

Maybe there’s a logical explanation to all this. Maybe there isn’t.

But I know what we heard.

And I’m genuinely curious now, has anyone native to Ratnagiri or the Konkan region experienced anything similar around Aare Ware Road or nearby areas?
