Book 34 - Too much lore dump? I'm a little lost

Hello!

I'll start by saying this is my first time ever reading the series, so please avoid spoilers for me! And apologies for my English, it's not my mother language.

I'm starting the book 34 and I'm just a few chapters in. It's from Cassie's POV and it starts with the free hork bajir asking for help. There's this guy, Am (or Arn, the pdf editions mess words a lot lol) that says his species was the one who created the hork bajir. Cassie makes a small summary of that, and so I caught it up quickly, but it sounds like something they're summarizing because it was mentioned before. Though I don't recall any of that?? Is it from a book like the megamorphs or something? I'm just reading the main series and had read somewhere that I wouldn't have trouble following the story if I left other series for later.

And they also mention Seerow's daughter. I remember who Seerow was, from the law Ax mentioned in his first POV book, but I am curious whether this is the first time they mention his daughter or not.

Compared to other books, this was too much info all of a sudden in such few pages that it took me a bit by surprise haha just wanted a little clarification regarding those points.

Animorphs 29 The Sickness. What about the Chee?

Hello!

At my tender 27 years old I'm reading the animorphs for the first time ever. They're not famous at all in my country and only discovered them through a mention in an indie videogame lol

Anyways, I just finished the book 29 and I just wanted to comment on the problem Cassie faces when trying to save Aftran. I didn't dislike the ending, I think being a whale, for a slug whose natural habitat is water, is pretty cool. But not even once they thought about giving Aftran to a yeerkless Chee?

If I remember correctly, Erek said that he could simulate Kandrona rays for his own yeerk so it wouldn't need to go into the pool. I'm not saying the ending should be changed, I just thought it was weird they didn't thought about that possibility, wirh Erek being there and all.

Not the first time either I think the Chee are unused in the books. Like, you have these android spies that are willing to help you. I know they are no violence, but they could help them plan every now and then.

I don't remember right now a specific instance where this surprised me a bit, the animorphs not going to the Chee for help, but I know it happened at least more than once since they were introduced.

Does anyone shares this feeling? Or is it just a me thing because Erek is one of my favourite characters and I want him to appear more haha

Thanks for my little ramble. Please don't spoil me things further than this book!

Edit: wow I loved reading all your comments! I may post other opinions or impressions about the books as I continue reading them :)
