When to ask for title change

Hello everyone, I started this job last December so I have not been here long but I have done a lot beyond my title of IT support specialist. I'm making 73k in socal but want to move up. I really like the company I work at and want to say for a while (2-3 years). I feel like I have done a lot of projects in my free time while at work that justify a sys admin role. I'm also getting my security plus soon. Is it worth bringing this up now or should I just hold on for my one year review? What have been your experiences with this?

Anyone else have that one executive that can just ignore security rules?

Dude throws a fit whenever I do anything to increase security and I just have to let it go cuz all the other executives say "ya he is just like that". Dw I have stuff in writing so that I don't get in trouble if there is an incident involving him.

How the hell do I undo years of being online

I want to take opsec more seriously in my everyday life. But how am I supposed to undo most of my life making accounts willy nilly since I was a kid? From my professional career I understand the things needed to be careful moving forward but undoing the damage already done seems near impossible. I have read the rules

Volunteer doing IT

Hello everyone! I'm trying to get involved in the community more and not just go home and do nothing after work and the gym and had the urge to volunteer. I like the idea of using my professional skills to help out around me and was wondering if there are any organizations that have IT volunteers. I know SDFF does computer repairs and stuff and that is definitely something I am going to apply to but if there are any other things to do I would love to know! I'm pretty well rounded but mainly skilled in networking and cloud. If you guys have any suggestions let me know!

Are elephant walks just that good?

I have gone from not being able to touch my toes to being able to easily touch the floor with my finger tips with a straight back in a week after integrating them into my routine. Does their effectiveness drop off hard or should I continue to do them no matter what.

Car loses torque for a brief moment while accelerating

Hello, I have a 2002 NB Miata (stock) that has this strange issue. Sometimes when accelerating the car will lose all torque for a moment before continuing to accelerate. it is intermittent but it usually goes away after driving the car for like 15-20 min. I have done a lot of maintenance to this car such as timing belt, cooling system, sensors, sparks, coils, and a few other things. Its not throwing a check engine light right now but in the past I did have issues with a p0300 code. I replaced the MAF sensor a few weeks ago and the code is gone. I don't notice any misfires and I have been daily driving since. Not sure if it is relevant but when the engine is cold first gear is super choppy. Like the tac needs to jump to rev higher. This also goes away when the engine gets warm too. Any Ideas of where to look next would be appreciated!

I'm going to look at a 2000 540i tomorrow. I have done my research and will be making sure the cooling system is up to date, will be having the timing chain guides replaced, and will replace the brittle rubber as I go. It's a 2000 with an auto(for now) at 150k miles. Listed at 4k. Anything to look out for that would be a hard no? I live in socal so I plan on having the car inspected at e39 source at some point in the near future if I do buy it.
