What do i even do?
So im an assistant dm, and I have just been approached by my DM saying one of the TMs in my department is looking to switch departments, and its because of me. I apparently said something regarding sexuality(dont even remember saying anything) months ago, and now they cant even stand to be around me. They wont tell me what I said either. Every little thing I do gets blown out of proportions by them, and it makes me look like a horrible person when im just doing my job. Just a few days ago I made a 6 page to do list in the morning of little things/nitpicks since we didnt have many tasks and the day was slow. Then my manager pulls me aside and said they complained about it being too long and me being too bossy. Any other manager assigns them tasks and its A ok, but I ask one thing and im being too bossy. All the interactions with them consist of is "task done?" "Great thank you". Another instance is when I was stocking milk, I got a phone call about a guest wanting two of our 24ft extension ladders but the counts were incorrect. I asked them if they could finish up the milk while I took down the guests info and filed a shipping error report. Now im getting pulled aside saying I just dump my tasks on them while they are busy(making bintags)? Can I be a little pushy sometimes? Sure im fairly new to management, but this just seems way blown out of proportion and i dont even know what to do. They keep complaining and blowing every little thing they dont like into something big and its making me look like the bad guy. Never once had issues with any other TMs, and i like to think im generally liked by most of my team and store, but I dont want this to make people look at me different when in my eyes I havent done anything. Just pure hatred for something I either didnt do, or something that was taken out of context.
