Looking to upgrade from DS923+
I have a DS923+ with 4 x Seagate Ironwolf Pro 8 TB (2 of them in RAID1 for important data and the other 2 as basic volumes for media).
Disk space has been getting a little tight in the past months and I'm looking to upgrade to something with more bays. I'm happy with the DS923+ performance, as I have few Docker containers running, so I don't need more CPU or RAM.
Ideally, I want something with 8 bays from Synology. What are my options? I'm especially looking for opinions from people who performed a similar upgrade.
If I choose to migrate my drives into a new Synology NAS, will my configuration remain intact?
Current config and use case: SMB + Synology Drive for general storage, VPN server, QBittorrent running in Docker, Emby media server, Paperless-ngx and Synology Photos.
