I can’t understand why they’re so insecure about themselves

That might be a really crass and insane thing to say, but it’s how I feel. Thinking about stuff like Demitra enjoying being catcalled or how her and Sunday act in the Omegle videos makes me ponder why they’re so insecure and attention seeking and I can’t figure out why.

When young girls are insecure or are always looking for love/relationships the 1st thing people always think about is their fathers (I do think the whole daddy issues phenomenon is a bit 1 dimensional but that’s another convo). But the Father Kalogeras was very present in their lives, so that’s not it.

Sunday and Demitra have never been in relationships, so it’s not like they had a past boyfriend that made them feel like shit or had abused them, thus watering down their self esteem.

Them being white has probably also shielded them from the trials and tribulations that Latina, Black, Asian etc woman go through when trying to date young. They probably never had to go through their male classmates calling them a “Latina bop” or just straight up being ignored, so that’s not it either.

I just can’t understand why they’re are SO insecure to the point that they hop on Omegle everyday and why they’re are blushing over miniscule shit.

Demitra and Sunday when you tell that doing the absolute most for men isn’t cute:

This video reminded me of them, they think that if they yell and scream and twerk and playfight that it will give men more incentive to “pick them” over other women.

Help me Understand

Why is Danny Motta a beloved reaction YouTuber while Spilling the Milk is hated, even though they basically have similar personalities? And it’s not like the STM guys are ugly or anything, so what gives?

Demitra in the most recent vid be like:

The use of “Pipsqueak” and her overall demeanor just gave wannabe Disney Channel protagonist. Her talk with Eli felt super hammed up and honestly just disconnected from the real world. If she was genuinely terrified of Eli getting hurt then fine, but it felt less like she was speaking her truth and more that she was making a mockery out of things.

Also the way she just kept talking about cheerleading as if Eli was doing drugs un the streets or something. Very very weird and very very Disney Channel energy

Zodiac Signs as Fictional Characters 🌙

I’m a Scorpio, apologies for any inaccuracies

What fictional characters do you feel fit your zodiac placements the best?

It’s a very, extremely basic question but I’m immensely curious to know if there’s any suggestions besides the basic ones (Velma as Virgo, Ariel as Pisces, etc).

I’m so dissapointed with the character assassinations of Maddy Perez and Cassie Howard (Euphoria)

When I first watched Euphoria in 2019, Cassie and Maddy were two of the first TV characters who made me feel seen.

What resonated with me wasn't that they were "messy" teenagers. It was that despite being sexualized, manipulated, and abused by the men around them when they just wanted love, they were still portrayed as complex human beings. Cassie was nurturing and Maddy was confident, in spite of all the trauma they endured. Their friendship with each other and BB was an added bonus.

That's why I was so disappointed by the direction the show took in Season 2 and ESPECIALLY Season 3. It felt like the writing stopped asking who these girls were and started reducing them to the worst assumptions people make about girls like them.

What made these characters meaningful to me was the idea that surviving romantic trauma doesn't doom someone to become a “hoe”. In my own life, the things I experienced didn't determine my future. I found loving relationships, pursued my education, and continued healing. I wanted the show to imagine the same possibility for them.

Instead, it felt like the message became: once people see you a certain way, that's all you'll ever be. And that’s so cruel, all they wanted was love.

Like the way they made her act in Seasons 2 and 3 is such a far cry from how she was in Season 1. She went from being grounded, relatable and kind hearted, to a mustache twirling cartoon villain, so much so the point that nobody cares about her trauma anymore.

I have no idea how people are saying her path is “realistic”. It just feels like an over the top, cartoony depiction of what people think the class “hoe” both acts like and ends up like, and I wish her character was written by someone who actually lived through that trauma. Also, why are people suddenly crying realism when the 1st season was lauded as unrealistic (even though it was pretty realistic)?

I’m not tryna be like, “Oh you HAVEEE to like this character”, but at least call a spade a spade and call out character assassination.>!!<
