Letterman was a young comedian who did successful guest stints on the 'Tonight Show with Johnny Carson'.NBC gave him a weekday morning talk show that ran for 90 minutes originally but was cut down to 60 minutes. It was said that the show's offbeat humor wasn't appealing to most of the morning show audience,it lasted only a few months in 1980.Though the show didn't last long,it gained a dedicated audience where the network gave a Letterman lucrative contract so he couldn't work for competitors(ABC,CBS).He was later signed to do 'Late Night with David Letterman' in 1982 and the rest is tv history......

Snow Beast (1977).NBC. Starring Bo Svenson, Yvette Mimieiux, and Robert Logan.A network horror movie about a Yeti-like beast terrorizing a Colorado ski resort. This feature debuted on the "NBC Thursday Night Movie"

Because the movie was on network tv, it's rather tame compared to R-rated horror B movies that you would see at the cinema.

Pink Lady(1980) NBC.Featuring the Japanese singing duo Pink Lady(Mie and Kei),comedian Jeff Altman and Jim Varney with various famous guest stars.A strange, chaotic variety show that was cancelled after 5 broadcasts.Aka Pink Lady and Jeff.

The show is regarded to be one of the worst tv programs of all time.It suffered from a messy behind the scenes production. One of the many problems was a language barrier between the co-stars because Pink Lady didn't know English, seems if NBC rushed the show into being broadcast.

Surface (featuring Karen Copeland)-When Your X Wants You back.7" inch single(1984)

This single is from the early days of the group Surface, when a young lady named Karen Copeland was their lead vocalist. She only did a few singles with Surface before leaving the group after she stopped dating one of the members David Conley. Apparently Copeland left the music business entirely to become a school teacher in New Jersey, but died young when she was in her 30's.Surface later produced major hits as a trio during the late 80's/early 90's as a "Quiet Storm" powerhouse.

Joe Pizzulo and Stephanie Reach-Two Can Be One(theme from "Hero and the Terror") (1988)

The theme from Chuck Norris's action movie 'Hero and the Terror'.Because the movie was a critical and commercial failure, this song(probably the best thing about the movie)never got much attention or radio airplay. The song is played at the end during the credits.
