Hiya!

I’m looking for a new dry herb vape. My loyal Pax 3 is on its last legs battery-wise after 10 years of faithful service. Seriously, bought that thing in 2016 and still works pretty well except for the charger/battery. It keeps shorting out the chargers (pax brand) for some reason so charging it is difficult. I’m sure technology has also improved in the last 10 years lol.

I hear good things about the Arizer Solo 3. I’m looking for something portable and discrete. However, I’ve done 3 vape stores and none appear to carry dry herb vapes, much less brand name ones. I’d bought the Pax at Prohibition all those years ago. I’ve tried searching online but I keep running across the issue that apparently “new” regulations (I don’t know if it’s new, I haven’t shopped for a vape in over a decade lol) they do not ship to QC and sites like Prohibition doesn’t list what they sell in terms of smoke accessories.

So where are we buying our dry herbs vapes from in Quebec?

And if you have a better recommendation than the Arizer solo 3 feel free to drop your recs here too.

Hi all! Hoping you can help my husband and I decide which model to get.

We have been a VertuoLine household since 2016. Our current model is on its last legs (leakage, seemingly no longer brews capsules less than 8oz). We went to the store to inquire about repair but our machine is obsolete so they don’t make the parts anymore. My MIL kindly is gifting us a new machine for my husband’s birthday and they are going to go pick it up tomorrow, but after 6 weeks of discussing which model to get we still can’t come to an agreement on what model.

It’s not an argument but my husband has been swamped with work and hasn’t had time to do the “research” he wants to do and doesn’t want to blindly take my suggestion because he knows it’s mostly for aesthetic purposes. He’s not wrong and I’m not ashamed of this, I have a very unique decor going on and if this machine hadn’t broken I was about to spray paint it haha.

Any input you all can give us to help us decide is very much appreciated.

Our coffee habits:

- We make 3-6 cups a day in the Nespresso

- Husband only drinks black coffee. So he usually uses the 8oz pods, some espressos when he’s feeling it. He’s somewhat of a coffee snob but doesn’t require a Vertuo with many bells and whistles.

- I exclusively drink iced coffee with some type of dairy and sweetener/flavouring added to it. So my most used pod size is 2.7oz but I like to sample all the new/limited editions so I try all the capsule sizes.

- Our aerocinno also recently stopped working (it was also around 5-years-old). I was very bummed by this. I bought both one of those cheap wand frothers and a mid-range model from Amazon but neither is as good as the aeroccino we had so our milk game is weak at the moment.

- I know most newer models offer the ability to brew the 8oz capsules as a double-espresso-size. I’m very excited about this as I love the flavoured pods and look forward to making better iced coffee with them.

We live in an apartment, so space is limited but not so much so that we require the smallest of models available. Budget is not the highest concern but we both like a good deal, husband particularly is quite frugal.

I personally think a pink Vertuo Pop+ is the way to go based on all of this. Alternatively, my second choice would be a Latissima, but I feel like it is overkill.

In your opinions, is this the best option for us or did I miss something in my research that would be better for our needs?

And any advice on how to convince my husband of what model is right for us? He needs reassurance that I’m not only suggesting the Pop+ because it’s pink haha.

TLDR: we’re buying a new machine tomorrow and would like reassurance that the Pop+ the best choice for both regular dark coffees and flavoured iced lattes, in an eccentrically designed apartment.

ETA: I’m in Canada if that makes a difference on availability. I know it affects pricing haha.
