I arrived in Maui last night. I look at the board when I arrive at the car rental facility and it says “see desk”.

I ask to add my husband to the reservation. The lady at the desk said it’s $15/day so I begrudgingly agree. We’re renting for 10 days so this $150. I’m a Presidents club member. My husband and I have the same address on our licenses.

After doing research, I don’t believe she should have charged me to add my husband. Should I call Hertz now or wait till I return the car to get them to take off the charge?

She also tried to tell me that liability insurance is required in Hawaii for another $15/day but I tell her I have my own car insurance which covers me so she backed off.
