Phantom 1 on 1 5/31/26 8pm spoiler
I was on Access since I was attending two shows that day. As soon as I got in line, I can't remember much past coat check other than that we went up a flight of stairs. This was the start of my fifth month without depression. (I did realize the 5 month no depession part till after. I was respond to a post in group when that realization hit)
When I arrived at the theater, the Phantom's presence was stronger than it had been in a long time. After speaking with my friend whom I met through this show, I told her that I thought Erik had something up his sleeve because of how strong his presence felt. (She reminded me of this after I told her what happened)
After that, I met the two people who were going to the 8:00 p.m. Pulse. We talked for a while waiting for Pulse to line up. Then they went through their door, and since I was on Access, I went through mine.
Once I was in Access, I was offered the same option as before: I could walk the Pulse and use the Access points as needed. The acess points is only other thingthat through Erik allowed me to remember. By this point through my spiritual connection he nocked out my momory..
After the flight tower scene, we were told to go to the roof where it was safer. Since I didn't know this part well, as we left the area I looked for my butler, who took me through the Access point. By the time we got to the roof, the scene had already started.
My butler asked if I wanted to sit, and I said yes. Since all the regular seats were taken, they brought out a small chair for me. My back was very thankful.
As the scene continued, I felt the Phantom's presence enter. My attention immediately went to where he was. He was coming down the stairs onto the roof. The stairs were a good five or six inches apart, yet he came down them without ever looking at his feet.
He watched the scene unfolding before him. Then he climbed onto the perch and watched as "All I Ask of You" played out. The hurt and betrayal on his face when Christine betrayed him broke my heart. I cried for Phantom/Erik in that moment.
Once the song ended, Christine and Raoul left. At that point Erik's hurt and anger boiled over. The reprise began, and he disappeared from view.
We then heard the violinist begin to play "Wishing." The butlers started guiding the Pulse guests out to follow the violinist. I waited for my butler to come get me since this was the only part I wasn't familiar with on Access.
I watched as the Pulse guests began making their way down the stairs on the outside of the building. As the numbers grew smaller, I noticed the Phantom appear again from his perch. Immediately, my attention shifted away from watching the Pulse leave.
He slowly came down, watching those who had yet to descend the stairs. There were probably about a dozen left. Then there were only about half a dozen. Although my back appreciated the extra time sitting, I was beginning to wonder where my butler was.
Then I noticed the Phantom wandering among the last few Pulse members who were waiting to go down the stairs. I for got what I was waiting for as felt Phanto/Erik was looking for something. . He moved through them almost curiously.
Then he noticed me sitting there alone.
Our eyes locked, and he started walking toward me.
As he did, New York City and Paris disappeared.
The butlers still on the roof faded away.
The scene below us disappeared.
It felt as though I had fully stepped into the world where the story was taking place.
In those moments, it was just Phantom/Erik and me.
It felt so natural, as though this was exactly how things were supposed to happen. There was no fear, no uncertainty, and no surprise that he was walking toward me. It simply felt right.
He continued to walk toward me, never breaking eye contact. Once he reached the spot where I was sitting, he stopped directly in front of me. For a moment, neither of us spoke. The world remained quiet around us as we simply looked at one another.
Phantom knelt in front of me. My hand ended up in his—my hand underneath, His in the middle, and my other hand resting on top of his. His free hand rested on his mask. It's as if I may either shy away, take off, or fear it. Non which I do.
For a brief moment, we simply looked at one another.
Then he said in a sing-song voice, "Soon the world will know the wonders of my mind."
Smiling, proud of the music Erik writes, I answered, "Yes, Erik, I know. I know."
I looked into his eyes, and he looked back at me.
I began moving the hand resting on top of his. I paused so he would understand my intention.
"May I—"
Before I could finish, the Phantom nodded.
I placed my hand gently on top of his mask. Part of my hand touched the cold surface he wore. Erik didn't flinch, and neither did I.
He began to rise and said, "Soon, soon, soon."
And I answered, "Yes, angel. I know. I know."
The next thing I knew, I was standing. I don't know whether the Phantom helped me up or not.
Then he wandered away.
The city returned.
The butlers returned.
The scene below us returned.
My butler collected the chair and started leading me toward the elevator.
I was trembling.
I was completely in shock over what had just happened.
I trembled while waiting for the elevator, and I'm pretty sure I trembled all the way down as well.
I don't remember exactly what I was saying, but I think it was something along the lines of:
"Jesus, Erik..."
and
"Oh my God."
I never thought I would have a one-on-one moment like this, let alone with a Phantom who, through Masquerade, was one of the two Phantoms who helped break through my depression as though it had never existed. More than likely, he helped save my life.
Because of that, this was not just another interaction. It was a moment I never expected to experience and one I will never forget.
Of all the memories I have from this show, this one will stay with me forever. For a few brief moments, it felt as though the rest of the world had disappeared, leaving only me and Erik. The impact of that moment, and what it meant to me personally, is something words can barely capture.
I was trembling while writing this. Especially after getting approval to place my hand where I was touching his mask. Erik is notorious for not liking or letting people touch hid mask. The fact he let me means I gained a trust that most may never get the pervilagd.
I wish I could known what looked like to others. What it looked like on camera. For the 1st time in almost 40 years I want to know what the Clay's Phantom thought as this went on.
I was so thankful I was crying days later I was so happy. Even almost a week later this 1 on 1 still brings tears to my eyes.
Not only does this evening pulse start 5 month but this also the pulse that now out numbers the times I saw pulse 5 without the depression. Clay is pulse 5 Phantom This. No i dont think this coincidence. These realization makes this 1 on 1 hit harder.
Ty so much Clay for this 1 on 1.
As of June 7, 2026 Clay is leaving Masquerade New York for now. I know he played the role really well. I know Masquerade and his Phantom have impacted Many (including me) please leave your thankful ans Memories here and I will forward for this he may review.
She just announced she permanent. I am so happy for her and I so hope she would. I would strongly recommend seeing this pair. I have seen them both separately and love how they do their roles. Together I am totally expecting to have them tear down the house. I dont say this lightly either.
I got a 1 on 1 with the Phantom this past weekend on the roof. As far as I know this rare. Would it be ok to share it.
Im thinking about this for June. I meeting a friend and were go see one my favorite Phantom's
I am trying to find the best number to contact the I.R s. I'm trying to verify my processing of my taxes since they held on to it. They did simply because they wanted to verify who I was. What is the best way to get a hold of them.
