What's the best way to test ignition coils?

Can I use a multimeter? Do I leave it attached to the plug when I test it remove it? What reading should I get?

Can I fire it against the body and check spark?

Running like a bag of dicks and pulled spark plugs to find large amount of oil in spark plug number 5 . What's the culprit?

Edit : I put in a new spark plug and it ran great for about five minutes and then started running shit again how badly does this oil leak
