I got my results today. I got 68.5% average in my first year as a Comp Sci student(fucking tanked TOC soo bad,I got 46🙂). I’m progressing to my second year now. I’m a bit disappointed and worried about my grade. I’m an international student,will not achieving a first class grade reduce my chances for a summer internship after my second year cuz I heard that only first year grades will be available by the time I apply for internships.

I’ve completed my first year and I don’t think I’m getting a first class(70%+ avg) this year cuz I actually bombed 3 exams(will be in 50s) out of 6 due to personal issues. Will first year marks count towards anything?
I was informed in my first year orientation that first year grades doesn’t count in the final grading. But will it affect my internship chances cuz I’m planning to do a summer internship after my Y2 aswell.
Can someone kindly explain this.

I’m a Y1 computer science student. I made a few careless mistakes in my exam and I’m actually a bit worried. Do they usually give partial marks in this scenario or is it a direct 0 for wrong answers.

Would really appreciate if someone could give their insights/experiences
