Tears of Sorrow

The 'Tears of Sorrow' were one of my first Chapter homebrew attempt.

An unknown (but probably ~5-20th) founding Blood Angels successor.

Some of their traditions and armour designs are clearly derived from the 'Angels Tears' destroyer formations.

Their combat doctrine is ruthless and puts no regard on civilians.

A clear focus on devestating weapons, ranging from massed Agressor assaults up to the rather frequent use of cyclonic torpedos.

Their indiscriminate combat doctrine earned them ostracization and the nickname 'Sons of Kryptman' by their more tempered brothers and cousins.

The Tears of Sorrow tend to idealize the fall to the black rage as their final and only act of atonement.

The Chapters most important relic is a great hollowed out sapphire, said to contain a single tear of Sanguinius.

This sapphire is set on the death mask worn by their Chapter Master.

An update to my homebrew chapter formerly known as the Viridian Brotherhood and Tomb Guards.

Homeworld:

Epitaphium-II (Mortuary World), formerly Epitaphium-I (Shrine World, now Necron Tomb World).

Chaptermaster:

Cryptmaster Armand, High Warden of the Epitaphium System.

Founding:

Unknown but post 20th founding.

Doctrine:

Melee and flamer focused fast attack units, assisted by heavy support elements.

Quick history:

Founded to defend the Epitaphium Systen from frequent Xenos and Chaos Space Marine raids.

The chapter relocated to Epitaphium-II im 999.M41 after a devestating loss of men and material to an awakening Necron tomb complex below the surface of Epitaphium-I.

The chapter received much needed supplies and manpower from the arriving Indomitus Crusade a few years later and managed to perform their first offensive military actions since the fall of Epitaphium-I.
