Basically the flair: is this a tonsil stone? There isn’t normally blood on it, only when I poke around at it.

Starting 3-4 days ago, I thought I had a sore throat. I happened to look in the mirror yesterday morning to see this. I got a chunk of it off, but there’s more still there that feels kind of like when my wisdom teeth were coming in. When I poke at it, the blood seems to come from the middle? I haven’t been able to get it out, even using the usual methods talked about (water syringe, cotton swabs, salt water). If I haven’t mentioned yet, it hurts. It doesn’t taste bad, and no one has mentioned bad breath to me yet.

In addition, I have a swollen lymph node on my jaw, and have been getting ear aches corresponding to the side of the tonsil stone. The lymph node happened a week before the sore throat, so I’m not sure if they’re related. Just thought I might throw that in as I know it can be sometimes related to tonsillitis.

Thank you for reading. Mostly I am just annoyed, and am trying to get an appointment with my family doctor (who never picks up the phone), but I appreciate anything anyone has to say.

I received a grade back for one of my courses and it was extremely low. My grade had dropped a good 15% after the final exam. I'm very confused as I studied a lot and there was a cheat sheet, it was extremely straightforward and I found it very easy. This class already had an issue with the 30% paper, as the TA marked them extremely low and then the prof had to go back and adjust all of our grades. What can I do? It dropped my average a lot!

I have had an INC mark for a while for one of my W26 courses, so I emailed my prof, who said no exam was uploaded for me and I have the opportunity to write the deferred exam. I’ve emailed my academic advisors, but I’m wondering if there are any other options? I know they have to keep tests for a couple of years, and I did in fact write the exam and I think there was a sign-in sheet. Has anyone been in this situation before? It wasn’t an awful exam, so I have no strong feelings about rewriting it, I’d just rather not have to trek back up to Guelph.
