rules around taking stuff for free
wasn't sure whether to put this under question or staff discussion
can someone clarify the rules around being able to take stuff for free if it's out of date etc
I've been working at m&s for about a month and a half, and in my first few days of training on date checking etc I was told that I could take stuff if it's already been reduced and hadn't been sold that day. Now that I'm learning the ropes I'm starting to wonder if I should actually be doing that because like what if it should be going to charity? or what if I've accidentally been taking stuff that I shouldn't ?
to clarify I haven't been absolutely filling my bag with all the reduced stuff.. if at the end of my shift there's still stuff that's reduced and hasn't been sold I'll take maybe one thing per shift e.g. a pack of sausage rolls or a fotm sandwich nothing huge or expensive
thank you!
