Pre teen permanently annoyed, awful attitude
Genuinely feeling like I cannot win with my 12yr old son’s attitude and constant state of annoyance.
He speaks in 1-3 words only.
“Yes” “no” “it was good” “bro”
Devices have been grounded from Sunday night to Saturday morning for several reasons including bad grades and lack of participation in school
Today, my husband wanted to play a board game. 5 minutes in and my son was actually making angry faces and contorting his body because he was annoyed about having to play a word board game with his parents.
Dinner time comes around, he’s done eating and gets up as if we don’t exist. Does not say a damn word unless he’s spoken to.
The rest of the day goes this way until it’s time for bed and he says he wants to hang out with us —which really means he wants to watch our devices with us since his are now locked away until Saturday. I said “you had the whole day, now isn’t the time to hang out. “
He storms off to his room.
I’m truly so tired of all 3 of us going to bed angry after spending the day walking on eggshells around each other
