Deciding between resorts for honeymoon
Hello, I’m trying to decide between 4 budget friendly options for our honeymoon next year in January.
I feel like my head is exploding looking at all of them. At the end of the day neither of us are super picky, we just want a week where we don’t have to think about anything or plan and just totally relax, but we don’t want to spend a lot of money and we realize that means making some sacrifices on food etc. We aren’t expecting incredible amazing rooms and gourmet food from any of these.
I would like to hear from anyone who’s been to these places if they had any major cleanliness or travel(shuttle) issues etc, or if they’re so overcrowded that it’s hard to enjoy it.
Narrowed it down to:
Ocean Maya Royale
Ocean Coral & Turquesa
Ocean Riviera Paradise
Occidental at Xcaret
I’m leaning towards occidental because I find the grounds to be very beautiful in the pictures, and it’s the least expensive. Since I’m not really expecting luxury quality from any of them I’d like to save money if there’s not major problems. Maya royale being a close second because it’s adults only.

Edit to add budget info: up to $4000 CAD for two of us including flights. Right now all slightly under budget, with Occidental being up to $1000 less than the others.
