The difference 10 pounds can make

Hi all! I just reached my goal of 120lbs on a cut from 130 and wanted to share!

128.6lbs on the left in both photos (didn’t have a good pic at 130 to compare and I wanted the pics to be in the same spot/similar poses), 120lbs on the right in both. It is such a huge difference when you’re short and maintaining muscle while losing!

As for what I did: I’m 5’3 for reference. It took me 4 months, 1450-1550 calories a day on average, 1-2 maintenance days per week. Some weeks I’ll have 1 maintenance day, some weeks two, some weeks none if I don’t feel the urge as much or have no plans out. Lift as heavy as possible 4x a week. I bumped my steps up from 6-8k 4-5 days week to 10-15k steps daily (a walking pad has been one of my best investments). 85-90% Whole Foods diet, w healthy sprinkles of treats. There were days when I went over calories by a lot, but I didn’t sweat it too much, just got back on track and here we are.

So if you wanted to see how a 10lbs fat loss looked like on a 5’3 body, here it is! I love that I can see all my muscle I’ve built now that I couldn’t see as much before. I love looking and feeling strong. And I’m so happy about where I’m at currently compared to where I started.

That microfoam!

Sooo satisfying!! Whisking the matcha to form a foam is one of my favorite parts of making a matcha latte 🤗

Hello everyone! I’ve been so inspired by some of the lovely fitness transformations/journeys I saw here that I decided to share my own.

The first pic is me at my heaviest weight of 158lbs and this was right after I gained the freshman 15. I was constantly eating crap and lots of it, not moving my body, bad sleep schedule and had just overall terrible habits.

In the second pic I was about 122-124lbs and wanted to be skinny no matter what. My lowest weight was 115lbs but I was eating so little. In less than a year I gained 9-10 of those pounds back. I was also not exercising. During this time, bc I was eating so little, I lost my period, lost my hair, got dizzy every time I stood up, and had no energy. 24/7 food noise and constant binges bc I was trying to not eat. And I was grumpy all the time because I was perpetually hungry! So even though I lost a lot of weight, I was NOT healthy.

In the last three pics taken recently, I weigh 128-130lbs. By this point I’ve been lifting weights for a little over 5 years. About 3.5-4 of those years were with weights at home, I only just joined a gym last year. Wasn’t 100% consistent all those years bc life, but I never gave up and now I’m more focused on my goals than ever! Fueling/moving my body, no longer starving, no longer sweating a bad day or meal out. Feeling amazing, healthy and strong. Consistency is everything ☺️💪

I honestly never would’ve thought I’d get here. Sometimes I think about my whole fitness journey and it feels surreal. If I went back in time and told the girl in the first pic where she would be in the future, she wouldn’t believe me!
