Recs for activity-based gifts for parents with toddlers?

I want to buy an activity-based gift for a single-parent friend of mine who lives in Kamloops with their one year-old. I'm thinking of something like a gift memberships for either the Childrens Museum at the Kamloops Museum & Archives or the Big Little Science Centre.

I haven't visited either centre (I don't live in Kamloops) -- does anyone know which has better programming and activities for toddlers?

Or any other recommendations for baby-and-me type gift memberships?

Why don’t bus drivers automatically open the back doors when the stop has been requested and there are people banging on the back door?

Does it fill drivers’ hearts with joy and laughter to hear people yelling “Back door! BACK DOOR! BACK DOOOOOR!”?
