Drop bar hardtail for Banana Belt?

Hello! I'm signed up for the 76 and Banana Belt in September, and I'm considering using the same bike for both. I've got a Salsa Cutthroat with 2.4" tires (Mezcals, but I could even swap to something burlier) and a 110mm SID. I ride it on lots of singletrack here in Boulder, though mostly more tame stuff (like BVR / North Sky).

I'm not familiar with the trails in Salida, but I'm wondering if I could get away with the Cutthroat on the Banana Belt trails or if I'd just be constantly feeling underbiked and sad. I also have a Pivot 429 Enduro, which is a hoot, but honestly I've hardly ridden it this year and I feel most at home on the Cuttie.

Worth noting I absolutely do not care about my results; on my best days I'm mid to back of the field.

Ambient Music from Conway's Life

The point of this is the audio, so unmute if you want.

I've been trying to figure out how to do this for a long time. My initial tries, mapping a cell to a tone, *really* didn't work. But I changed it to map an "organism" -- defined as "a cluster of on cells, all within one off cell of another on cell" -- to a tone, and that created something a lot more coherent.
