I’ve noticed it seems kind of uncommon for tattoo/piercing shops in Edmonton to actually post jobs for reception or studio/front desk work. In other cities I’ve lived in, it was way more normal to see those kinds of roles advertised, but here it feels like they’re either not posted at all or only filled through word of mouth. Is that just how it works in Edmonton’s scene, or am I just missing where these get posted? Genuinely curious how it works here compared to elsewhere.

I’m planning to go around Edmonton and drop by a few tattoo/piercing shops about some available studio assistant/receptionist positions, but figured I’d ask here first in case anyone knows of places hiring or about to be. A lot of them don’t really post jobs or advertise much online, especially for non-artist/apprentice roles, so it’s hard to catch anything unless you’re already in the scene. Any info or even industry-similar leads would be really appreciated!
