Cleaning

How do you usually clean your balis without taking them apart? I’ve seen brake clean (idk if that’s a good idea but I also don’t see why it wouldn’t), wipe with rubbing alcohol, also saw one suggestion online about giving them a straight up bath in rubbing alcohol. I feel like brake clean would be super effective and easy.

Treasure trove of knowledge

I love the wealth of knowledge on this sub and it constantly gives me something new to google and read about. But other than that, what are the best books, shows, movies, websites, anything to gain all this information

Send help

My brand new B+ Rep took one drop on to wood floor. Developed a tap immediately. Wasn’t bad. But I figured what the hell it doesn’t seem overly difficult to fix. I put the new hardware in. Was way more difficult than I expected. But finally I get it all back together… and the tap is worse. Much worse. Do I have to take it apart again and put in the original hardware? Do I just order titanium at this point or does that not make a difference?

UPDATE: Thank you everyone! I put all the original hardware back in. It only took a few minutes vs fighting with it for way too long. Still a small tap but will oil it more and see where that gets me. Definitely learned a lesson on this one
