2yr old refusing food

My son has always been a fussy eater, but he seems to be getting worse and worse with not eating what feels like, anything! He has certain things he loves, porridge, bran flakes and bananas, and goes through phases of obsessions that last a few weeks, soup, beans, potato waffles. But on the whole, he just doesn’t eat! He’s not fussy in the traditional sense, he won’t touch a ham sandwich, chicken nuggets or pizza, but he’ll sometimes eat a Thai red curry or paella? But equally could offer him that a day later and would straight up refuse so you truly never know!

We’re trying to wean him off breastfeeding and it’s been made so much harder by the fact he’s clearly hungry from not eating properly.

I feel at such a loss, and it stresses me out beyond belief and I don’t know what to do? You can’t force feed a 2yr old but equally he definitely needs to eat more!

Advise would be appreciated, thank you .

How many days off sick is acceptable???

I’ve had 9 days off sick in the last year, and I have been put on a sickness review plan given my days off falling above their “threshold” for context I’m a mum to a 2 year old and in the first year being back at work, like most families, we’ve been struck down by sickness bug after sickness bug. There has been no pattern to my leave ie taking every Friday off for example, and I have always followed procedure when calling in sick.

I’m just curious, what is your companies policy re calling in sick? How many days are considered acceptable?

Is this sudden change for a 2 yr old normal, or could this be a sign of ND?

Since we got home from holiday, my son has suddenly started screaming and kicking off when we try go into anywhere, that he doesn’t want to be. For example, we arrived at my grandparents and he’s screaming the minute we walk in, crying shouting “car car car” he was hysterical. We’ve had the same issue when trying to go into a pub, the toddler play group (baring in mind we’ve attended every week since he was about 8 months old) and it seems to be occurring more and more, even if it’s a familiar place. Several times we’ve just left as the screaming has been too embarrassing and I’ve not really known how to handle the situation. I don’t want to give in to the screaming, but also don’t really know how to ride it out without causing him such extreme distress and me embarrassed and anxiety!
Is this normal toddler behaviour? To suddenly hate places he’s liked before? Could this be a sign of neurodivergence? I really don’t know but it’s causing me great anxiety. We’re due to go out for a drink with friends this evening, and I’m already nervous how to handle it incase he has one of these meltdowns on arrivals.

For perspective, he has always been a super social boy, was the most social little chap on holiday and we have never had this issue until we returned back from holiday 3 weeks ago.

Help!!!!

SO Houses… is it a good idea?

We live in the midlands paying £1350 a month on a small 3 bed house, with the cost of rent, council tax, oil (we live very remote) etc we’re struggling to be able to put enough money aside to ever be able to afford to buy a house in the typical 10-20% deposit way.

I’ve started to look into SO however a lot of what I’m reading is centred around flats, specifically flats in London. I was hoping anyone would be happy to share their personal experiences of SO houses, ideally in the midlands?

From what I’ve been reading about the mortgage/rent/service charge and looking at example figures of the very few available in our area, it would work out significantly more affordable than we’re paying on our private rental, even considering the potential hike in rent cost every year.

But the cynic in me is saying it’s too good to be true…

Looking forward to hearing your stories, thank you in advance.
