I know it’s a very sensitive time for everyone in the fandom, and I’m not here to tell anyone what to think or do. But unfortunately, Sylus somehow keeps getting dragged into the mess when it has nothing to do with him.
I don’t care whether you want the 6th LI to come back or not (this is coming from someone who’s interested in Valko and hopes he’ll come back), but I just want to clear up the misinformation and hopefully avoid Sylus being dragged again in the future because of this.
Sylus wasn’t rushed. For anyone who wasn’t around when Sylus debuted, here’s the timeline.
His content started getting leaked on Weibo in mid-June. At first, players thought it wasn’t real, but over time it gained so much traction and engagement, even more than the OG3 multi-banner that was running at the time. Of course, Infold couldn’t ignore it anymore and released a statement on June 21, 2024.
But let’s go back to January and February 2024. Infold had already mentioned that Qinche, the next LI, would be released in the version update expected in July 2024.
For those who don’t believe the screenshots provided, here’s another example: Ikemen Fangirl made a post on X on February 25, 2024 stating that Sylus was planned to be released in July 2024.

If Sylus was actually forced to launch in July because of the incident, why is there a digital footprint from five months earlier showing he was already planned for a July release?
Whether the leak happened or not, his release was already scheduled for July. His announcement was moved earlier into a post instead of being revealed during the livestream. Sylus was mentioned since the early launch of the game. Again, I repeat, he wasn’t forced to debut early.
So please, if anyone is dragging Sylus to prove a point, I’d suggest checking the facts first. That’s it. I’m not trying to fuel any conflict, I just want to clear up one of the community’s biggest pieces of misinformation about Sylus. Thank you for reading.
