I had no idea how soft they are!
These are my first chickens, and first interaction with birds in general really. I love them sm. They’re still in their brooder until we finish the hardware cloth on their coop and run this week. But I had no idea they’re so soft! No one talks about how soft they are!!
We are looking for free spent coffee grounds for our chicken coop. Anyone know any reliable sources?
She had an exam with the medical team at the humane society, they did a stain test and her eye did not take up any stain. They agree with me that it doesn’t seem to be painful or bothering her. And she still isn’t exhibiting any other symptoms. The tech I spoke to said she thinks it could be a scar, but isn’t sure. Now I’m just continuing to monitor! She’s happy as can be!
This is the largest of the 3 preemie bottle baby fosters I have right now, and she has also been the least “problematic” besides the fact that her eyes were staying that freshly opened sort of milky blue color for far longer than her two sisters. Well today I noticed the left one is finally clear but the right one now very obviously has central cloudiness. I already emailed the humane society that they’re from, but it isn’t seeming to bother her at all. She hasn’t had redness or weeping or crust. I assume it’s probably an ulcer from a scratch from her siblings or herself OR maybe a congenital defect from being preemie?
