Task to get the workday started?

I have no idea if this will make sense to anyone else, but I figured I would throw this out there to see if anyone has any suggestions!

When I get to work, I have such a hard time actually getting started with work. Especially right now, I have been behind due to being out of the office so just opening up my email and trying to start with the easiest email or task isn't really working for me right now. I do know though that once I just start working on something my brain can get into work mode and I can easily transition to work specific tasks.

My main question for anyone that can relate to this: do you have some kind of non-work related computer task/games/etc. you complete to get yourself in the proper mindset for the day? People have suggested things like creating a to-do list and things like that in the past, but it's not exactly what I am looking for. I was looking for something non-work related to help ease into the day so it's not daunting if that makes sense?

Weird question I know, but I hope someone can relate and has found a good suggestion!

Update: Finally finished the bunny!

This is the first project I completed where I cut all of the glass myself. It is a gift for my mom’s birthday. Im so happy with how it came out and the colors look perfect in the light!

Pattern is from PickseyGlassandLight on Etsy!

Progress on first piece from scratch!

Late last year I decided I wanted to get into stained glass. I started off with several of the kits from Hobby Lobby that already had all of the glass pre-cut since I didn’t have a glass grinder at the time. My siblings were kind enough to gift me “The Grinder 2” for Christmas and I finally got around to making my first piece that I have cut myself! It will be a gift for my mom’s birthday. Still have to foil, solder, and finish it, but Im super proud of how it has come out so far 🥹 Cant wait to post the finished piece!

Template for the design came from PickseyGlassandLight on Etsy!

Usually I just use the preset lighting options since they yield great pictures, but last night I decided to try and understand how to use the pro light options and actually get good results from it. I ended up spending several hours playing around with the colors and angles and I am having so much fun! Not every experiment yields great pictures, but here were some of my favorite!

Please share any of your favorite colors to use for the lighting or if you have any pictures with fun or unique lighting, post them! Im looking for inspiration for my next attempt!
