Elliptical Orbits | Sun Ra & His Arkestra

All of you probably saw this but pretty nice collection of rarities from 1965. Apparently most have been issued before as bonus tracks across various releases over the years (which means I'm probably buying them more than once), but they've been remastered and it feels like a nice arrangement of lost tracks.

Is there an easy fix for roms that don't load?

I am specifically having a problem with the Strider arcade core. All versions fail to load and I have to reset the mister. I imagine this is a unique problem to me, but others may be facing a similar issue with other roms. Can I just manually replace the mra file?

Boogie Wings MiSTer FPGA | Free & Open Source vs Paid & Closed Source | Is It Worth Your Money?

What are our thoughts about having paid versions with DRM? I know developers like Jotego give patreon members early access, but this feels like a step too far given that Coin-Op Collection doesn't own the rights to the game.

State of Cave and late Toaplan shmups?

At the dawn of DDP DOJ, Ketsui and ESP Galuda on the Mister, there's still a handful of shmups that seem like they could be on the mister, but haven't made it yet.

Toaplan: Batsugun and Dogyuun. They have perfect (or near perfect) PC ports, so not a major issue. Also the Saturn port is probably near perfect (never seen a break down.) Dogyuun is more obscure but also has the excellent PC port. I doubt these are beyond the capabilities of the MISTer which makes me think they have not received attention due to unique hardware.

CAVE: Mostly wondering about the CAVE CV1000-B arcade hardware which was home to a huge list of titles like the Mushihimesama games, Ibara, etc. I have no idea whether this board is beyond the limits of what the MISTer can do.

Where the Creatures Sleep (Shadow Grove) has an extensive vegan menu

I'm cheating a little since I've been a fan of Shadow Grove brewery since they opened. Unfortunately, the San Fernando location doesn't have an attached restaurant. The new NOHO location fixes that problem and is a short walk from the metro station.

Sorry if the image is small, but they had some great vegan options--I had a mushroom sandwich and a cauliflower fritto.

Rene v2: Issues with CV, Gate

New Rene user and wondering if this problem has been resolved (hope I don't get a RTFM response!).

What I would LIKE to be able to do with Rene is be able to turn off gates to notes so that for instance say the first, third and fourth note might play in a four note bar. Rene CAN do this but regardless of either gate/trigger setting I use (on the fun page); the decay of the gate/trigger is too long and you hear the unselected notes.

You might think the solution is simply to eliminate the gates with the associated unselected notes, but then rene just shortens the bar OR you can select sleep and then it will (in the example I gave above) play the first note twice until it gets to the third count.

I saw the same issue was discussed briefly on mod wiggler with no resolve (https://www.modwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=232331) and I am wondering if this is a simple problem I haven't figure out yet, or rather, if it is by design?

Case in point, I was able to create the desired rhythm by sending Rene a euclidean trigger sequence from Pam's. Rene feels like such a different sort of sequencer I'm willing to accept that I'm just thinking about it wrong.

First off, I am excited that it is that time of year once again. I was really happy with last year's LA Independent Beer Fest; however the price of the tickets have crept up to a point I'm questioning if I can keep attending. Fests are about having a great time, visiting some breweries you don't get to visit that often and maybe running into some familiar faces, so I don't mean to immediately scoff at the price tag. On the other hand, is there a reasonable upper limit on the cost for a four hour tasting event?
