I’m afraid I may have ruined my smudge cow!

As we all know when doing laundry or washing anything, we separate the darks from the lights. But was there really a choice if the item in question is both black and white?

I decided to give this guy a quick wash in my bathtub, and didn’t notice any issues til after it dried 😱 I used cold water, and air dried it outside on my porch. I heard that it’s much easier to wash the extra dye off while the fur is still wet. But what now, if it’s already been dried? I’m afraid to dip it back in water if there’s a chance even more of the black dye will bleed into the white fur!

Has anyone else had this happen to them? And were you able to fix it? Any advice will be appreciated! 🙏

I’m gutted, because this little guy is never in stock on the website!

Edit: I want to note that the pictures don’t really do it justice. The stain is a lot more noticeable and blue in person!

Btw, the seller used a real jellycat picture for their listing, and have almost 200 reviews and almost 600 sales. Plz be careful out there everyone! 😭

No matter how careful you are, sellers can always lie on the product listings and captions. There’s nothing we can do about it other than report them to the platform. But it seems this seller has gotten away selling to hundreds of unsuspecting buyers who don’t know any better. Thankfully, I know what to look for to identify a jellycat. And this isn’t even a good dupe either!!

I’ve filed a report to get a refund for this order. Wish me luck everyone! 🙏

I got both of these second handed, and I’m pretty positive base on the tags that they’re authentic.

Has anyone had any issues with inconsistent fur? I’m particular skeptical of the one on the left, but I don’t want to judge too fast because the tags are spot on (to me). I got the one on the right from someone I really trust, so I know it’s real.

Any input would be greatly appreciated! I’m not sure if this is totally normal from a batch to batch basis 😭🙏

Came without the hang tag, and tush tag only has the batch code and not the product code. I’m not sure if that should be a red flag or not, as I’ve heard the bashful turtle did have a re-run and this could possibly be from the original retired line of turtles.

If someone here knows better than me, please shine some light for me! 🥰🙏

The batch code is incorrect, so I’m a little worried 😩

It’s still a bit messy, but I’m absolutely head over heels for every single jelly I own! Looking at them just makes me so happy, and I hope to keep expanding my collection in the future 🧸
