What is this monster in my friend's pool filter?
My friend's pool filter was a real treasure of insects, but we're wondering wth is that huge one on top?

Promised a follow up on my last post, which was asking for queues on which order to do things for a 45 degrees roof as a complete beginner on roofing.
Removing all the shingles took a day, we layed water and ice shield on the whole surface then installing the new shingles took 8 hours today.
We ended up mixing two techniques following you guys advice. We had an anchor on the top, which we used to let ourselves hang in our harness. We still used toe jacks, but only two rows (we would have needed 3 rows if we didnt do the first technique). It ended up arriving perfect and straigth, no broken shingles and no misplaced nails. Im tires as hell now.
Nothing broken, no hospital and sun all day. Ciao!
Printer glass just.. fell? Now I removed every screen on the panel to try and access it and it wont even move a little. How can I repair this?
So I have a 12/12 slope roof. Im doing the "easy" side myself to save a bit, which is just a flat plane.
I got myself anchors and a harness and im currently removing shingles bottom first then going up, adding angled brackets and a long 2X10 for steps when i can no longer reach.
Im a bit lost on how im going to add the membrane and new shingles. The roof is so steep I cant stand on it without those step and I figure they will damage my new shingles if I add them over?
Watched quite a few videos but I dont really find good one one super steep roofs.
