Hi all. I've always bought Japanese cars, and figured it was finally time to experience a BMW.

Hello X3 folks. I just left the dealer and will be back tomorrow to finalize things with the finance manager. It’ll be my first BMW and I can afford the maintenance and all that without an issue (🤞) but I typically do want some extra peace of mind, especially since I have seen and heard repairs can be several thousands of dollars if they come up.

I asked the finance manager about extended warranty coverage and he showed me a Prime Protect plan (Level 3 for what it’s worth) that is basically CARS Protect Plus.

He claims that the dealership will definitely honor any repairs or issues with this plan but I’m wary of any third party extended warranty service. I’ve searched on here and through some of the forums (I’m still new - so getting acquainted with all the various BMW things) but haven’t found too many definitive answers. I also have no idea what he’s going to quote me on this.

Does anyone have this? If so, have you made any claims? Does any BMW service center in the US actually honor this thing?
