Vinted banned my account while I have 2 orders already in transit – will I still get paid?

I recently started selling on Vinted and my account has suddenly been banned because they suspect I was selling a counterfeit item.

The item was NOT counterfeit, and I wasn't even given the opportunity to prove it was legitimate. They didn't ask me for proof of purchase, additional photos, authentication or anything else. I was just banned.

To make things worse, the message says that my transactions are being cancelled.

I currently have 2 pairs of shoes that I had already sold and shipped before being banned. Both are currently in transit to the buyers and I haven't been paid for them yet.

So what happens now?

If Vinted cancels those transactions, are the buyers going to receive a refund AND still receive my shoes? Am I seriously going to be left without the shoes or the money?

Their customer service has been shocking. I can't find any way to actually speak to someone about this. Everything seems automated and I haven't even been given a proper opportunity to prove that my item was genuine or have the decision reviewed by an actual person.

Has anyone had this happen before?

Were your in-transit transactions actually cancelled, and did you eventually receive your money?

Gym says I can’t give 30 days’ notice during my 12-month contract - is this right?

Looking for people’s thoughts on a gym membership cancellation issue in NSW.

I signed a 12-month gym contract on 5 August 2025. When I first raised cancellation, the gym initially told me my contract finished on 20 August 2026, even though I signed on 5 August 2025.

After I pushed back, they then said they had amended my membership end date to 5 August 2026 “out of goodwill.” However, from my understanding, 5 August 2026 is simply the natural end date of a 12-month contract signed on 5 August 2025, not a goodwill amendment.

I recently gave written notice to cancel on the 7th July 2026, as the contract says cancellation needs to be in writing and that I may be billed for up to 30 days after cancelling.

The cancellation clause in the contract says:

“When a cancellation fee may apply: I relocate or simply wish to cancel for any other reason. I may cancel my membership by delivering or mailing written notice to the Club. Phone, Text Message and all social media channels are not accepted formal communication methods. I understand that if this is a periodic Agreement, I may be billed for up to 30 Days (14 days in SA or ACT) after I cancel my membership and will have access to the Club during that time.

If this is a periodic Minimum Term Agreement, an early cancellation fee of 25% of the membership fees for the balance of the Minimum Term must be paid to the Club.”

A salesperson at the gym advised me that I cannot put in my 30 days’ notice while I am still within my 12-month contract. They are saying that my 30-day notice period does not start until after the 12-month term is completed.

So according to them, even though the contract ends on 5 August 2026, my 30-day notice only starts from that date and I would need to keep paying until 5 September 2026.

My next payment is scheduled for 23 July 2026, and because I’m billed fortnightly, my understanding is that this payment should take me through to the contract end date of 5 August 2026.

To me, this effectively turns a 12-month contract into a 13-month payment obligation. The clause says I can cancel by written notice and may be billed for up to 30 days after cancelling, but I can’t see anything that says the 30 days only starts after the 12-month term is finished.

Am I missing something here, or does this seem unreasonable? Has anyone dealt with something similar with gyms in NSW/Australia?

Not looking to avoid paying what I genuinely owe, I just don’t see how a 12-month contract can become 13 months unless that was clearly stated upfront.

TLDR: I signed a 12-month gym contract on 5 August 2025. The gym first said my contract ends on 20 August 2026, then changed it to 5 August 2026 and called it “goodwill.” Now they’re saying I can’t give my 30 days’ notice until after the 12-month term ends, meaning I’d have to keep paying until 5 September 2026. The contract says I can cancel by written notice and may be billed up to 30 days after cancelling, but I can’t see anything saying the notice period only starts after the 12 months are finished.

Has anyone used THE ICONIC’s $4.95 next day delivery?

Has anyone used THE ICONIC’s next day delivery through Australia Post?

I ordered a pair of sunnies last night at around 9:00pm and paid for the $4.95 next day delivery. THE ICONIC says it should be delivered today between 9:00am and 5:00pm.

I understand next day delivery when you order before 2pm, but their cut-off being midnight seems like a bit of a reach.

Has anyone used this recently? Did it actually arrive the next day, or did it take an extra day?

36M Western Sydney looking to make new mates

Hey everyone,

I’m a 36M based in Western Sydney, looking to make some new friends and meet genuine people around Sydney.

I’m pretty easygoing and into running/fitness, motorbikes, sneakers, anime(One Peice), good food, and casual chats about almost anything. I’m currently getting back into running and working on my fitness, so I’d be keen for walks, beginner-friendly runs, coffee catch-ups, food spots, or just hanging out.

I’ve got a toddler and I’m a pretty present dad, so late nights are definitely something I have to plan around these days. That said, I’m an ex-party person and I do miss the social side of it sometimes — good music, laughs, meeting new people, and just having a proper night out every now and then.

Not really looking for anything intense, just genuine friendships, good conversations, and people who are keen to catch up when schedules line up.

Happy to chat first and see if we vibe. Feel free to comment or DM.

Windshield recommendations for the Shotgun 650?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking at getting a windshield for my Shotgun 650 and wanted to see what people here are running.

Main things I’m looking for:

  • Something that helps reduce wind blast on the chest at highway speeds
  • Doesn’t completely ruin the look of the bike
  • Easy enough to install
  • Ideally something that doesn’t cause too much buffeting around the helmet

I’m not necessarily after a huge touring screen, but I’m open to anything that works well in real-world riding.

Would love to see photos of your setups if you’ve got them, and any feedback on what you like or don’t like about your screen.

Cheers!

Hey everyone,

I’m pretty new to running and currently on run 2 of week 2 of a beginner plan from Runna. So far I’m really enjoying it.

I’ve noticed that my right foot tends to supinate (higher arch), while my left foot has mild pronation. Because of that, I’m trying to figure out what kind of shoes tend to work best for people with uneven foot mechanics.

Right now I’m running in Gel Kayano 31s. They feel generally comfortable, but I do notice a bit of a rolling sensation on the right foot, so I’m not sure if a stability shoe is the best match overall.

Curious if anyone here has a similar situation and what’s worked for you:

  • Do you stick with stability shoes, go neutral, or use insoles?
  • Any specific models that felt balanced despite different mechanics between feet?

Appreciate any input—just trying to find a good long-term shoe setup as I get into running.

Thanks!

36M here with my partner 37F, based in Western Sydney.

We’re Australian-born Asian, retired party people, and now living our best “home by 8:30” era while looking to meet some new friends.

We have a toddler, so the late nights have been swapped for daytime catch ups, park hangs, walks, board games, good coffee, good food, F1 weekends, and early dinners. We’ve also recently taken up walking/running, so bonus points if you’re keen for a cruisy walk, light jog, or a “we said run but mostly walked” session.

I also ride motorcycles, so if anyone’s up for a casual ride, I’d be keen for that too.

We’re pretty easy going and always keen to explore new spots, try good eats, get outdoors, and spend time with genuinely good people.

Happy to meet other couples, parents, riders, or anyone in a similar season of life who’s keen for relaxed, low-pressure hangs.
