A Fantastic Night on Knowl Hill (Scout Moor) last night

I brought the parents Shelties along for some company, Ellie & Archie. We had an amazing sunset and sunrise. I had good grub and they enjoyed their usual food with lots of treats. Getting the pegs in was quite the chore as there isn't one patch of ground up there that isn't rocky/hard but I got them in eventually. There was little wind all evening, night and through the morning. The temperature was 15°C walking in, a low of about 3°C and walking out about 9°C. Waking up felt really cosy and makes me realise I prefer the colder temps and getting warm and snug for the night. I really enjoyed this one and I think the dogs did too!

Black Fell/Crag 🥾🐾

Just done Black Fell/Crag with my Pomeranian, my parents and their two Shelties. Was a really pleasant walk starting and ending at the Drunken Duck Inn. Got home to check the dogs for ticks and ewwww 22 across the three of them. Luckily none on me.

Stunning View From Whiteside

I just cannot get over how beautiful this view is from Whiteside. The clag just cleared as I was nearing the summit. I was pretty much in clag to some degree all the way from Grisedale Pike.

Sale Fell Wildcamp

Did a quick hike up Ling Mell first and then back down and up to Sale Fell. Used the Naturehike Mongar 2 tent, kinda regretted it a little as its inner first and I got caught in a heavy shower while pitching and then the rain stopped for the night just after I got pitched 🙃. I tried the Trek Biscoff bars (recommended by someone on my last post) that were amazing OMG!!! Also attached a photo from my day hike today of the ridgeline from Whiteside. I did Grisedale Pike, Hopegill Head and Whiteside. So 5 Wainwrights this outing and I am very pleased, and tired lol.

Summer ready, I am loving the look 😁

Fitted a TentBox side awning and found a Halfords narrow Top Box on FB Marketplace for a bargain, now all ready for the summer!

Silver How Wildcamp

Last night I went up Silver How after work for a camp. It's a lovely 1 hour ascent from Grasmere village that has some light technical sections on the route I took both up and down.

Pitched my tent at 7:15pm and enjoyed an evening with views over Grasmere to Rydal Water as well as to Windermere Water. I was blessed to have 2 jets fly by as I was pitching the tent as well as a twin rotor helicopter on my descent. Leave No Trace as always!!!

Passing through Grasmere in the morning, I got a full English at Jackson's Café and bought some Grasmere Gingerbread and a dog toy for my Pomeranian from the pet shop.
