I’m seeing a couple of my local tattoo studios use blatant AI designs for their flash sheets. Many of the designs had errors. (Extra digits, animals with impossible tails, etc)

I commented that I was disappointed in the use of AI, and I got two replies from the staff, saying that I didn’t know about tattoo culture and that flash tattoos aren’t “wanna do’s” and they’re supposed to be generated.

I truly don’t think this is the case. Yes flash tattoos are often repeated designs, but I thought they would at least be re-drawn by a human and at the very least checked for quality before offering to the public.

I honestly want to reply, pointing out the obvious errors im the designs at least, but I also don’t care enough to go back and forth with the artist who posted them. It’s just incredibly disappointing because they are a talented artist who does good work otherwise, but this feels so lazy and really leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I haven’t touched them myself much because I like the satisfaction of working to earn materials, fighting things, and I feel like it’s the way the game was meant to be played.

That said, I did recently turn off needing to refuel. It’s so tedious and frustrating to grind just to leave the planet if I run out, and it makes me not want to explore as much. It does feel a bit like I’m cheating at times, but at the end of the day, does it really matter?

I know a lot of folks like a more creative style of play, and I’m just curious what settings you modified, if any?
