Having a hard time to decide between TOEFL ibt home edition and IELTS academic

Hey everyone, I'm currently trying to decide between the TOEFL iBT and IELTS Academic for my upcoming applications, and I'm really torn. Both exams clearly have their pros and cons, but I want to specifically focus on the writing section. I'm trying to figure out which one is genuinely harder to get a high score.

For those of you who have looked into both or actually taken them, which writing section felt more natural to prepare for? Also, which test do you think is more forgiving if you make minor grammar slips? I would love to hear your experiences and thoughts.

Thanks in advance!

Pasaport gecerliliği hakkında

Herkese merhabalar,

Master in Business Informatics ECTS Mapping & Conditional Admission

Hey everyone,

I just need some insight here. I’m a Computer Engineering graduate and I'm currently preparing my application for the Master’s in Business Informatics at TU Wien.

I’ve been breaking down my undergraduate transcript to see if I meet their core credit requirements, and I’ve run into a slight dilemma regarding the ECTS distribution. I know they allow up to 30 ECTS of deficiencies via bridging courses, but I just wanted to make sure if my logic makes sense.

Based on my engineering curriculum, I clear the Computer Science and structural sciences bar. However, for the other two categories(business informatics and economy), I tried to match my undergraduate courses like this, though I felt so unsure while trying to make them fit into their definitions, and I'm highly skeptical if the admission committee will see it the same way:

  • Business Informatics (28 ECTS): Modeling of data, processes, and enterprises; web engineering; enterprise information systems; security; legal aspects;...;
  1. Web Programming-5 ECTS
  2. Software Quality Assurance-6 ECTS
  3. Software Engineering-7 ECTS
  4. Introduction to Database Systems-6 ECTS
  5. Distributed Database Systems - 5 ECTS
  • Economy (18 ECTS): Cost accounting, business management, operations research, micro- and macro-economics, marketing, investment and financing,...;
  1. Engineering Economics-4 ECTS
  2. Decision Support Systems in Engineering-6 ECTS
  3. Innovation and Entrepreneurship-2 ECTS
  4. Persuasive Technologies-5 ECTS

I'd be more than happy to hear any thoughts or insights you might have on this. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a gift for a really close friend who is an avid collector of children's books. She specifically has a soft spot for illustrated books and pop-ups.

I'm looking for something visually stunning or maybe a heartwarming story that a collector would appreciate. Does anyone have any recommendations that fit these descriptions?

Thanks!!
