Question about Wolf spiders
I hope it’s okay to ask just a question, I didn’t see it was against the rules.
I live in USDA zone 6b (Great Lakes Midwest), we’ve always had a robust wolf spider population, but they’ve been MIA for two years. All I see are the grasslands spiders and the occasional black widow now. And while I’m sure grassland spiders are just fine, they don’t really act like a murderous bouncer in my garage or plant room. I miss the hyper aggressive with anything they encounter behavior wolf spiders have. Does anyone know why their numbers may have dropped so significantly in my zone?
Any insight is greatly appreciated!
