Male RECTOPEXY SURGERY very scared
I'm a male, and I have a suture rectopexy surgery coming up for a rectal prolapse that I've lived with for over 20 years. I'm very scared to have the surgery done. I currently can go to the bathroom. The only thing abnormal is my rectum has to come out for me to go. I'm tired of living like this. I'm afraid once the surgery is done I won't be able to pass a bowel movement "normally" and I'll be constipated. I would like to know, preferably from a male if you have had this surgery, did you regret having the surgery, or wish you had it done sooner? My doctor isn't clarifying this enough for me. I don't want to be incontinent or constipated after this surgery. I'm not dealing with any of that now. Any feedback on this surgery would be very helpful negative or positive. Thank you
