I’m looking sub 2k. Hydraulic disc brakes are a must. I test rode a checkpoint alr3 and was impressed but would need the alr4. But then…. I got an add for Jamis renegades. I like steel( I have a surly ogre that is my favorite bike) but I don’t know if it would still allow me to possibly enter into any races or carry much speed. So I am stuck. Should I choose the trekpoint or possibly go for the steel Jamis (which I have not test rode) any advice helps!
