I know this is an extremely noobish question, but I'm a new player who just started picking up the support role. I know my item upgrades itself automatically, but after figuring out how to enable the chat (another mistake in itself, perhaps!) people have been telling me to upgrade my support item -- but they haven't been as helpful in explaining how exactly that is done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
