Dress code/dyed hair

I’m an advisor at a large public university, and I also do heavy recruitment work (visiting w/ high schoolers, sometimes going to high schools). I’m planning on getting my hair dyed and doing a few blocks of color (probably pink or purple). Here’s an example: https://pin.it/Nq9A5pYiI

I already have a few face piercings and visible tattoo sleeves, but for some reason I’m wondering if the pink hair is going too far/will be taboo in this environment. I’m not worried enough to not do it…but curious what others think! Other info: my office has no dress code, many faculty in the department dress nice but the other advisors often wear athleisure/less than business casual.

Audiobook reccomendation

Interesting read that that includes details/interviews on Starbucks (and Apple stores) unionization, negotiations, etc. if you have Spotify it should come with an allotted amount of audiobook time included. Delete if not allowed. 😊

Recruitment groups

Hi everyone! I work as a recruitment coordinator for a specific department at a large public university, and my previous role was in admissions. Im wondering if people have recommendations for online groups/forums/etc for this type of position, that’s not necessarily specific to admissions counseling.

When searching for recruitment topics online I keep running into corporate employee recruitment/HR professionals. And when I search for admissions specific pages, it’s mostly applicants asking about their applications. I have a feeling specialized student recruitment roles are becoming more prominent with impending enrollment cliffs and programs fearing budget cuts/layoffs, so a dedicated space to chat about this would be great.

TIA!
