I needed a battery connector for easy access when plugging in a charger. I’d seen a few people run SAE connectors from under the seat, but I wanted something a bit cleaner, more concealed, and permanent.

I used an Optimate M18 socket and modified it slightly so it would fit neatly into the available space, wiring it directly to the battery through a fused connection. I also had to trim a small section of the side fairing to allow easy access to the connector seal.

When not in use, the socket is completely hidden, but it’s still very quick and easy to access whenever I need to connect the charger.
